An established Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery practice in North Palm Beach, Florida is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant- OMFS to assist during surgical procedures and support pre- and post-operative patient care. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of surgical protocols, and a strong commitment to patient safety.
Skills
Assisting during surgical procedures including extractions and implant placement
Preparing surgical trays and ensuring sterile field maintenance
Monitoring patient comfort and safety during procedures
Taking digital radiographs and CBCT scans
Providing post-operative instructions to patients
Maintaining sterilization and infection control standards
Stocking and organizing surgical supplies
Documenting procedures accurately
Supporting sedation cases as permitted by certification
Ensuring OSHA compliance
Requirements
Dental assisting certification as required by state
Radiology certification
CPR certification
OMFS experience preferred
Strong understanding of infection control
Surgical assisting experience
Knowledge of sterile technique
Radiology proficiency
Strong attention to detail
Ability to remain calm in surgical settings
